R: Did you feel upset when you hit by the ball in the head in today’s match?

D: No. We are all professional players and we should not feel annoying. If I was a 12 year old girl, maybe I would start crying.

R: You’ve been playing 13 days in Asia’s tournaments. Last week in Bali you defeated Jankovic. This time you lost the match. What reason do you think that made you lose the match?

D: It’s been so much tennis in these two weeks for me. Today it’s the first time I felt my legs were tight. I didn’t think I could move easily the way I need to. It’s been such great two weeks and I’m excited that I performed so well. I’m also excited to go home.

R: Last year when you were here in Beijing, you declared to leave the tennis field in the after match press conference. This year you are here again and reach into the semi-final. Do you think it’s quite amazing?

D: Yes. It’s really amazing for me. My life changes a lot. You never know what will happen. I’m lucky that my life is getting better. It’s overwhelmingly unbelievable that I have an adorable son and I can’t put right words in the context. I really enjoy every minute of my life.

R: Kim Clijsters is pregnant. Do you want to give her some advice?

D: I just want to say that being pregnant doesn’t mean you have to stay in couch and eat and watch TV. You are still healthy and active. You can do what you like if your doctor gives your approval. I’m happy and excited for her.

R: If our local girl Peng could win the match today, she will play against Jankovic. Could you please give her some advice to beat Jankovic?

D: Peng won two tough matches against Hingis and Mauresmo and this has proved that she is a great player. I know that Szavay is good too. Peng has to defeat her first to reach the final. Definitely she should make fewer errors in the match. I wish her good luck.

R: You won the gold medal in Artlantic Olympic Games. Do you expect to come to China next year to participate in OG?

D:Yes, I will. My husband has never seen my playing in the OG. I will experience the whole OG not only tennis with my family and friends.

R: Do you think your coming back is like gaining all extra points, extra wins, and extra ranks since you’ve had all? Do you expect to win the Grand Slams next year?

D: Everything I have now is like joy to me. I’ve been No.1 I the world and I won the Slams. It’s like bonus to me now. I have a great life off the court and now I come back and play well. It doesn’t matter if I win or not. I’ve already had all of these and an adorable son.

R: Will you train your son to be a tennis player in the future?

D: I got to play tennis because I liked it, not being forced by my parents. He’s welcomed to do this if he likes.

R: Since you talk about your parents, they seem to be invisible to you when you play the matches compared to other players whose parents are traveling with them. Could you please talk about that?

D: I appreciate that my parents show me great examples. They show me that I should be independent and there is much more important thing other than tennis in life. They treat me normally like my other sisters when I’m at home.
