伍兹承认不忠宣布离开高尔夫

　　“我深深意识到我的不忠给许多人带来的失望和伤害，其中我的太太和孩子失望与伤害最大。我希望对所有人再说一遍，我万分抱歉，我希望得到你们的原谅。也许我所造成的伤害不可能弥补，但是我要尽最大力量去尝试。

　　“我希望每个人，包括球迷，基金会的好人，商业上的伙伴，美巡赛，以及我们一起参赛的球员理解。现在最重要的是我的家人要有时间，有隐私，以及安全的港湾，以便我们能愈合个人的伤口。”

　　“自我反省很长时间之后，我决定无限期离开职业高尔夫。我需要集中精力做一个好丈夫，好父亲以及一个好人。”

　　I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

　　I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

　　After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

　　Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.
