　　新东海高尔夫乡村俱乐部坐落于江苏省太仓市城市中心，毗邻上海市嘉定区，距上海市中心40分钟，苏州市中心50分钟，虹桥机场40分钟，地理位置十分优越。

　　球会是欧洲名匠蒙哥马利的设计杰作，占地1226亩，包括一个国际标准72杆18洞球场和8180平方米的综合性高级会所、3560平方米的酒店和93栋高档别墅，并配置了高尔夫练习场、短杆练习场、康体中心。

　　The Eastsea golf country club is one of  Monty'smasterpieces who is a european master.Club covers an area of 1,226 acres,including a 18-hole, par72, Championship standard golf course, a comprehensivehigh-class club covering 8,180 square meters, a 3,560-square-meter hotel, and93 top-class villas. It is also equipped with a Driving Range, several Pitch& Putt courses, accommodation and amenities。

　　2.球场风格

　　基于“最小破坏”的设计理念，球场拥有经典的蒙氏风格，面积狭小的果岭，加之此起彼伏的沙坑、巨大的水泊，处处暗藏杀机。18个各具特色的球洞在提供绝佳击球环境的同时，也挑战着球手的智慧与勇气。(如11号洞，就像科林故乡皇家托恩球场著名8号球洞“邮票”。)

　　球会原始地貌为缓坡地，有少量水体和树木，在设计中结合了这些水体和树木，成为了具有挑战性的72 杆锦标级球场。7146 码的长度以如今的标准看不是很长，但是在战术设计中融入了很多策略性的沙坑和林克斯风格的果岭区。

　　蒙哥马利在设计中体现的风格主要就是抬起的果岭，及其周边深深的、变化多端的凹陷收球区，这一区域为本特草，剪草高度与果岭环相同，一旦没有停在果岭表面，就会产生很多有趣的球位和多种救球方式，当然，选杆的策略也非常多样。

　　Based onthe concept of "minimum damage", the course is a typical Montgomeriecreation. The greens are narrow, and the sand pits are up-and-down. These,along with the huge pool, reserve the shadow force everywhere. Eighteen uniqueand special holes not only provide the best driving conditions, but alsochallenge the players' brain and courage. (For example, the 11th hole is justlike the famed 8th hole, called "Postage Stamp," at the Royal TroonCourse near Montgomerie's hometown in Scotland。)

　　The club wasbuild on some gently rolling terrain that had a few natural water bodies andtreelines with which to work. Colin and his design team integrated both thenatural water features and trees into the layout of this challenging Par 72championship layout. The 7,000 yd golf course, while not terribly long bytoday's standards, will more than hold its own with its strategic bunkering andlinks style green complexes. The signature feature of Colin's course will bethe elevated greens that are surrounded by deep grassy hollows, planted withbentgrass and maintained at greens collar mowing heights. Missing the greenswill result in many interesting shot options, with a variety of clubselections。
