19/9 Kuznetsova Emergent Press Conference

　　Hostess: Would you please to explain the reason why you quit the match?

　　K: I got injured in the Fed Cup and it is becoming worse and worse. At first, I thought I could finish the matches in Beijing, but unfortunately I can’t serve in the matches. So I have to choose to quit the game.

　　J: You have attended almost 90 matches this season. Will you choose to give up some double matches next season?

　　K: It’s a hard season. Originally, I didn’t expected to play in the Fed Cup, but Russia had such a good performance and it was my duty to join them. After I attended some other tournaments such as the US Open then came to China. I really like the fans and audience here. Next year, I will try my best to avoid such condition to happen.

　　R: You looked in good shape last afternoon. Did you have any treatment this morning?

　　K: After I reached Beijing yesterday, I left my luggage in hotel and came directly to here. But my doctor warned me it was dangerous for me to continue my tournament otherwise I would lose the opportunity to attend other matches till the end of this season. I had a good memory in Beijing last year, so I persist. When I woke up this morning, I got great pain and then realized I can’t play any more.

　　R: What’s your next plan? Will you go back having some treatments? Or will you have some other tournaments?

　　K: No, I won’t have the tournaments. The injury is very serious and I have already had this week and next week off. I will visit the doctor to see weather he can give me some advices on recovering.

　　R: You said you would quit many matches this year, including WTA Champion? As the champion last year who do you think will win the China Open this year?

　　K: I hope I can recover soon, so I can attend matches at the end of this season.

　　Daverport back in good shape, Mauresmo and Jankovic also have good chances. Everybody is pretty strong.

　　R: Where is your injury?

　　K: Something wrong in my belly muscle.

　　Hostess: Kuznetsova will continue to attend signature activities.
