　　Chapchai broke through in a big way in 2007 with a commanding wire-to-wire maiden success at the TCL Classic in China. He enjoyed a three-stroke triumph over Argentinean Rafael Echenique. Was the third Thai player to win a co-sanctioned Asian Tour and European Tour event, thanks to a record equalling first round of 11-under-par 61 which tied the Asian Tour's 18-hole lowest round. In 2006, Chapchai registered five top-10s. The big-hitting Thai contended in the OSIM Singapore Masters before settling for fifth place and matched that performance at the SK Telecom Open in Korea. He enjoyed a sensational rookie season in 2005 where he surged onto the scene at the Singapore Open, grabbing a share of the first round lead before settling for tied 11th place. At the following week's Taiwan Open, Chapchai challenged compatriot Thaworn Wiratchant for the title and eventually finished second. Chapchai turned pro at a tender age of 15, playing on the mini circuits across the region. Says his father has been influential in his career, supporting him financially during his early years in the pro ranks. However, it was his father's advice which instilled confidence in Chapchai's game. "Fear comes from within oneself, so you must be mentally strong," his father told Chapchai.
