  在摩托罗拉公司,Ian与北亚区营销团队共同开发有助于摩托罗拉公司实现无缝移动远景的全球营销策略,并在通过本地化处理后加以实施。他将负责营销战略、规划、运营和预算;广告推广、媒体策划和采购、品牌识别和代理管理;赞助、娱乐、网络及游击营销和各种活动。他是摩托罗拉WW营销委员会的成员,致力于为摩托罗拉培养一个世界级全球营销团队,从而使公司业务更上一层楼并使摩托罗拉成为全球最好的品牌。除了营销职责外,Ian 还负责摩托罗拉移动终端事业部的业务发展工作,他将为人们寻找目前最精彩、最引人注目的移动内容和移动体验,使摩托罗拉移动平台成为北亚地区移动之旅的必由之路。

  Ian 以前为微软(亚太区)家庭娱乐事业部的品牌及渠道营销总监。

  Ian 于2002年在香港创立了微软家庭娱乐事业部的区域总部,他当时主要负责制定战略、机构设计以及招聘实施战略的区域团队成员。

  除了在香港创建了区域总部外,Ian还到韩国工作了三个月,在韩国创立了游戏事业部,当时微软在韩国实施

在线游戏战略方面遇到了一些特殊的机构挑战。

  Ian 全面承担事业盈亏责任,他编写了将本地化内容以及Xbox 实时宽带服务带到亚洲的业务计划。Xbox实时宽带服务已在亚洲四大市场全面推出,并已在上述所有市场占有了一定的市场份额。

苹果公司亚太区营销总监,帮助公司在亚太地区打造了公司品牌。在苹果公司,Ian主要负责创新市场的广告、网络营销、直销和口头宣传营销、零售营销、宣传资料以及包装等工作。

  Ian在亚洲生活了10多年,曾在上海、香港和新加坡居住,现在住在北京。他在英国获得了应用科学和计算机工学士学位,并在美国获得了芝加哥大学工商管理研究生院工商管理硕士学位。

  Motorola Mobile devices, North Asia

  At Motorola, Ian is working with the North Asia Marketing teams to develop, localize and implement a global marketing strategy that helps Motorola achieve its seamless mobility vision. He will be responsible for marketing strategy, planning, operations and budget; advertising, media planning and buying, brand identity and agency management; sponsorship, entertainment, Web and guerrilla marketing; and events. As a member of the Motorola WW Marketing Council, Ian will help Motorola build a worldclass global marketing team to drive business success and make Motorola the coolest brand anywhere. In addition to the marketing role Ian will also be responsible for the Business Development function for Motorola Mobile devices and he will be seeking out the coolest and most compelling mobile content and experiences available to make the Motorola mobile platform the must have mobile experience in North Asia

  Previously Ian was the Brand & Channel Marketing Director for Microsoft’s Home and Entertainment Division Microsoft (Asia-Pac)

  Ian set up Microsoft’s Home and Entertainment Division’s Regional HQ in Hong Kong from scratch in 2002. Ian was then responsible for formulating the strategy, organization design and recruitment of the regional team to execute on the strategy.

  In addition to setting up the regional HQ in Hong Kong, Ian moved to Korea for Three months to set up the Games division in Korea as Microsoft faced some unique organizational challenges in executing on the On-line gaming strategy in Korea.

  Ian had full P&L responsibility and wrote the business case for bringing localized content to Asia and also the Xbox Live broadband service which has been rolled out in four markets across Asia, and has attained number market share in all of the markets.

  Prior to Microsoft, Ian was the Marketing Director for Apple in Asia Pacific and was instrumental in building the brand in Asia Pacific. At Apple, Ian was responsible for advertising; Web, direct and buzz marketing; retail marketing; collateral; and packaging in the creative markets .

  Ian has been living and working in Asia for over ten years having lived in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore. He currently resides in Beijing. He studied at an Undergraduate level in the UK for a Bsc in Applied Science and Computer Studies and got his MBA in Strategy and Finance from The University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business in the US.
