His family moved to Vietnam in World War II where Dr. Ching spent his childhood. In 1954, Dr. Ching migrated to Hong Kong with his family through the aid of US military and since then he became the citizen of Hong Kong. Dr. Ching started his career with US company NCR in early sixties. He gained Top Sales Awards for consecutive years before he joined British company Dodwell as sales management. He started his own stock security company in 1972 and since then he progressed prosperously with ambitious vision to set up the Continental King Lung Group to cover fifty countries in trading commodities, Forex, international stocks and securities in late seventies. His monetary business further extended to banking sector in the eighties. He was the co-founder and director of United Orient Bank of New York in 1980 - 1988. With his success in monetary business, Dr. Ching diversified his interest to deal matching business in the nineties when the world trade companies – Hecoson International Limited and Trigon Worldwide Limited – were established to facilitate the trading of raw materials and manufactured goods between American continent and Asian countries, especially China. The trading environment was made feasible through the connecting network of Chinese traders in the two regions all participated in commercial activities organized by the United Chinese World Association which was founded by Dr. Ching in 1992. As a political-neutral body, the UCWA contributed much to the free-flow of commercial and cultural activities among countries with minor or major Chinese race in citizenship. Dr. Ching has been devoting himself in such promotion for the past decade and gained the respect of the world leaders. For sports Dr. Ching loves basketball. Other than a good player himself Dr. Ching has been supporting the development of basketball activities in Hong Kong, Asia and worldwide financially and personally. He dedicates much of his valuable times to basketball activities and enjoys the arrangement and conducting of the games in any place of the world. On November 5, 2000 in Beijing, China, Dr. Ching has honored by the Chinese Organizing Committee of the International Week of Science and Peace of the United Nations as the PEACE MESSENGER. On 20 August 2002, Dr. Ching has been honored as the Peace Ambassador for the U.N. by the city of Feng Li in China to acquire world peace. On August 2003, Dr. Ching has also been appointed as the Honorable Chairman of the Organizing Committee of 2003 “Ode to Peace” International Youngsters Cultural and Artistic Festival by Mr. Arthur Zhou Qi, Mayor of Yantai City, Shandong Province, China. For education - Dr. Ching donated the best Chinese Books “Treasury of Chinese Classics” to Harvard University, Liberty of New York City, L.A. Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Cambridge University and many other famous universities around the world. Dr. Ching is a Visiting Professor of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University which the Chinese President Jian Ji Min studied there. Dr. Ching is also an Honor Professor of the Shanghai Institute of Physical Education. In 2002, Dr. Ching was awarded the Outstanding Academic Excellence by the President of the United States, Mr. George Bush for his dedication in education. The participating teams are the World Champion: Yugoslavia, and 5 continental champions are: All American Vice Champion – Canada, Asian Champion – China, Oceanic champion and Olympic Host – Australia, European Champion – Italy and African Champion – Angola. 1992 - Present -President of United World Chinese Association with 3 million members all over the world. The Association is well known in both China and Taiwan and has excellent relationship with both governments. 1998 – 2002 -1st Vice President of Federation International of Basketball (FIBA) 2002 – Present -President of Federation International of Basketball (FIBA) 1980 – Present -President of Hong Kong Taekwondo Association -To promote/develop Taekwondo activities and send players to participate the world championship events. We have hosted the 13th Men & 6th Women World Taekwondo Championships on November 19 to 23, 1997 in Hong Kong Coliseum. We have received more than 100 countries for participating on this tournament.
