BILL DUFFY, President, BDA Sports Management- As BDA Sports represents Antonio Davis, Terrell Brandon, Rasho Nesterovic, Steve Nash, Jason Williams, Drew Gooden and other NBA and overseas players, Bill Duffy has been involved in pro sports representation for over fifteen years. He parlayed a successful career as a player, from college days at the University of Minnesota and Santa Clara University, to being named the Denver Nuggets fourth pick in the 1982 NBA Draft,sintosa position as one of the most successful and respected sports agents in the industry.
Bill has represented over fifty professional athletes during his career, including eleven first round draft picks, and the number one pick (Michael Olowokandi) in the 1998 NBA Draft. Bill Duffy takes pride in providing his clients with high quality career management, as well as the tools and services necessary to enhance personal growth. He takes a unique approach with each client, by focusing on individual needs and long term career planning. Bill was named the Black Sports Agents Association's "Agent of the Year" in 1998, and was recently named the first ever inductee of the Damien High School (La Verne, CA) Hall of Fame. His business acumen propelled BDA Sports to the forefront of sports management firms. Five of the top 23 players in the 2002 NBA Draft are clients.
Bill graduated from Santa Clara University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Humanities. He was a district 8 Academic All-American and Santa Clara's 1982 Scholar/Athlete of the Year. Bill is heavily involved with church and community organizations. He and his wife, Jamese, have five children and reside in Walnut Creek.
