Federico Kammerichs #15 of the Argentina

　　(Sina.com, 30/07/2005)In their fourth game of the Stankovic Continental Champions Cup, China lost 20 points to Argentina, that meant China lose the chance to compete for the champions of the Stankovic Continental Champions Cup.

　　In the first quarter, China changed the starting players, Liu Wei, Tang Zhengdong, Wang Shipeng, Zhu Fangyu and Mo Ke made the starting lineup.

　　Liu Wei made the first field goal when there was 9:15 left in the first quarter, China took an early lead. Argentina's #9 Hernandez made a 3-pointer and took the lead. Tang Zhengdong was better this game, he got 4 points in the opening 3 minutes. But Argentina then found their attacking rythm and took a 3 points lead when there was 6:10 left in the first quarter.

　　After China called a timeout, Argentina extended their lead to 8. Argentina made straight 3-pointers and continued to extend the lead. Li Nan came onto court when there was 3:36 left in the first quarter. After that, China cut the deficit to 7, but then China paid off for their lack of experience, Argentina extended the lead to 10 when their was 1:35 left in the first quarter.

　　China missed the next two points and ended the first quarter 16-29.

　　In the second quarter, Li Nan hit a 3-pointer and cut the deficit to 10. China then made 4 straight points and cut the deficit to 8. Argentina's aggressive defense helped them to extend the lead to 11 points. Argentina's #15 Kammerichs made another driving high-flying dunk in the game and China called a timeout.

　　After the timeout, Kammerichs made a 3-pointer and Argentina was led by 16. Argentina finally led the first half 47-35.

　　In the second half, Argentina extended their lead to 17 points. China could not find the offense rythm and the deficit became larger. Li Nan then made 5 straight points and cut the deficit to 14. Then Argentina extended their lead to 22, it was very hard for China to fought back. Argentina led the third quarter 71-50.

　　In the fourth quarter, Yi blocked Argentina's shot but this couldn't hold up the opponent. Argentina extended their leads to 24 when their was 8:23 left in the final quarter. Mo Ke made another 3-pointer and Zhang Yunsong also made one, China was down by 21.

　　China never had chance to take over the game and finally lose the game 66-86. The loss meant that China lose the chance to compete for Champions. Li Nan was the only Chinese players to score the double digit.
